601 Dilapidated

I love old buildings with character, including dilapidated farms.  If the walls could talk, I'm sure the stories and history would be very interesting.  This is a watercolor painted from a photo from The Morgue.  Watercolor was my first love, beginning in high school.

518 Lady in the Lavender

I painted Lady up close the other day, but I like this painting better.  She was a very sweet horse at Ghost Ranch who had free roam, even though she was blind.  I learned last night that she is no longer living, and I'm sure she is missed at the Ranch.

509 Snow on the Rooftob, better

I was not satisfied with the sky in yesterday's painting, nor were the colors adequately represented in the photograph.  Here is the modified version.

503 Sunny Farm Near Algoma

This is a lovely farm near Algoma, Wisconsin.  I have never seen so many sunflowers in one place.  I am almost finished painting it in a larger format, which I have to say is a heck of a lot easier than this was.

171 Indiana Wind Farm

This is a little different style of painting for me, but I felt as though it was appropriate for the subject.  I was fascinated with all the wind mills on Indiana farmlands as we drove through cornfields this summer.  They look so futuristic in their settings.
